Some days just feel like they were made for a wedding. Late November in the Waikato delivered exactly that for Tyla and Scott, golden afternoon sun, a gentle breeze, and Rosebrooke Hall & Gardens looking absolutely stunning.
Tyla and Scott are the kind of couple who make you feel at ease the moment you meet them. Laid-back, fun, and so completely in love, there was never a forced moment, never a stiff smile. Just two people genuinely, whole-heartedly choosing each other, surrounded by friends and family who felt every bit of it. The kind of crowd that wipes away tears during the vows, laughs a little too loudly at the speeches, and stays close all night. People who show up, and it showed.
Tyla looked absolutely gorgeous in her gown from Astra Bridal, her hair done by Kajal at Bula Bridal Studio and makeup by Krystina Beauty Studio, and the florals from Mangateparu Blooms were the perfect finishing touch to the whole look. Scott and the boys scrubbed up beautifully in their Bullick Blackmore suits, and with the man cave freshly finished just in time for the occasion, getting ready looked like a pretty good time. The classic cars were just the cherry on top.
The ceremony, held in warm golden afternoon light with Matt Hicks at the helm, was raw and real, the kind where you look around and notice everyone is actually feeling it. But don’t let the emotion of the ceremony fool you, their confetti exit brought the noise!
The reception was in the very capable hands of Alice and the team at Rosebrooke, with catering by The Old Forge and the most wonderful cake made by Katrina, a friend of Tyla’s Mum, the personal touches really were everywhere. Groomsman Charles Morrison held it all together as MC, and Matt played double duty to keep the dance floor going all night long.
After that, Tyla and Scott did exactly what they should have. They soaked it all in. Laughed with their people, revelled in every moment, and didn’t rush a single bit of it. Two people completely at home in their day, surrounded by everyone they love most.
