When Plumbex created their new website, I photographed the team at their Hamilton base to create a complete library of imagery for the new site and their wider marketing.
Rather than simply updating their headshots, we photographed the people behind the business, their premises, branded vehicles, equipment and some of the everyday moments that help show what the business actually looks like.
Everything was photographed at their own premises, giving the finished gallery a really consistent feel while still creating plenty of variety for the new website.
We created individual portraits of the Plumbex team along with photographs of the team together, using different areas around the property as our backgrounds.
Keeping the portraits within their own environment meant the images felt connected to the business while still giving them clean, professional photographs for team profiles and marketing.
We also photographed the owners and family together, along with one particularly important member of the Plumbex team: the dog.
A website needs much more than a handful of headshots.
We created wider photographs showing the Plumbex premises, team and branded vans, alongside closer portraits and tighter detail photographs.
Having that mixture gives a web designer much more to work with. Wide photographs can work beautifully for banners and hero sections, while portraits, details and working images can be used throughout service pages and supporting content.
And seeing the finished website, I LOVE that they used that wide photograph of the team, vans and premises as the homepage hero. That’s exactly the kind of image it’s made for.
Alongside the portraits, we photographed the team moving around the premises, getting equipment from the vans, checking gear and interacting with each other.
These don’t need to be complicated setups. They’re there to help visually explain the business and break up the more traditional portraits with photographs that feel like everyday Plumbex.
The branded vans also became a big part of the shoot, giving the images another instantly recognisable connection to the business.
The whole shoot was completed at Plumbex’s Hamilton premises, but the finished gallery covers individual portraits, team photographs, family, vehicles, equipment, business-in-action imagery and wider environmental photographs.
For a new website, that variety is incredibly useful. Instead of trying to build an entire site around three headshots and a logo, there’s a proper library of photographs available for different pages, crops and layouts.
Seeing the finished Plumbex website come together with the photographs from this shoot is always my favourite part. The wide team and vehicle image was used as the homepage hero, with imagery from the shoot continuing throughout the site.
