Lauren and Kyle travelled to New Zealand from New York City and before they left the North Island for the South we absolutely could not pass up on the opportunity to shoot on the Wild West Coast. Of course we chose Maukatia Bay in Muriwai, one of my absolute favourite spots in Auckland for Couple, Engagement and Pre-Wedding Photoshoots. With it’s epic cliffs, stunning sunsets and the gannet colony flying ahead it makes such a romantic backdrop for wedding and couple photos alike.

In true Auckland fashion, we had side ways hail, rain, sun, gale force winds and then a bit of rinse and repeat during the hour and a half we were there. I daresay these guys won’t be forgetting that experience in a while! But, to their credit, Kyle and Lauren didn’t complain once, even though I know for a fact their toes felt like dropping off (because mine did!) and we managed to create an absolutely incredible gallery of images to show off their trip to New Zealand before they passed on through the Waikato & Bay of Plenty regions on their way south.
