For this business branding shoot, I headed to Hideaway Skin Boutique in Cambridge to photograph Tamsyn, her beautiful new clinic and the experience she has created for her clients.
Rather than focusing only on portraits, we created a much broader collection of imagery showing the person behind the business, the space itself, treatments in progress and plenty of the smaller details throughout the clinic.
We created a mixture of professional portraits of Tamsyn throughout the clinic, giving her images that feel connected to the actual space rather than photographs that could have been taken anywhere.
Some are more traditional portraits, while others show her working and interacting with clients. Having both gives her plenty of options for everything from an About page and social media to educational or service-based content.
A big part of this shoot was showing what actually happens when someone books an appointment.
We photographed Tamsyn performing different treatments, working with products and interacting with her clients, along with tighter images showing hands, tools and individual parts of the process.
For a service-based business, these photographs are particularly useful because potential clients can actually see a little of what to expect before they arrive.
The Hideaway Skin Boutique space also deserved plenty of photographs of its own.
Alongside wider photographs showing the treatment room, I captured details throughout the clinic, including products, furnishings and some of the smaller design elements.
These images give Tamsyn plenty of supporting content for her website and marketing without every photograph needing to have a person front and centre.
By combining portraits, treatments, client interactions, interiors and detail photographs in one shoot, we were able to create a gallery that covers far more than a traditional branding session of someone looking at the camera.
The finished collection gives Hideaway Skin Boutique a bank of professional imagery to use throughout the business, while also showing clients the person, place and experience behind the brand.
